NICCI REJUVENATING SERUM
Description: This penetrating serum brings a maximum amount of moisture to the surface of the skin. It is almost wax-free (only natural lecithin) and uses the highest quality vegetable oils and organic floral water as its base. Vitamin C is in the form of an ascorbic acid polypeptide complex, which, in contrast to the synthetic vitamin C, is highly stable. Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant and reducing agent. On topical application and under suitable conditions, it can penetrate into the deeper layers of the epidermis where the melanocyte cells are located. These cells produce the protective brown pigment, melanin, on exposure to actinic (U.V.) light. Ascorbic acid, if present in sufficient concentration, reduces melanin to a colorless substance, inhibiting the formation of freckles, excessive darkening of the skin, "age spots" and possible, precancerous lesions such as melanomas. The additions of green tea extract, liposomes of anti-oxidant vitamins, and a free-radical scavenging super-oxide dismutase make it a superlative skin rejuvenator.
Oat beta glucan soothes the skin and protects it with natural a moisture barrier. It also stimulates the production of pro-collagen and promotes cell turnover. The serum is particularly beneficial for stress-damaged and weather-damaged skin. The clean, light consistency allows the valuable active ingredients to penetrate skin directly, effectively treating the needs of the skin. Oily skin needs moisture too. This formula is excellent as the only moisturizer for oily skin replacing heavier crèmes. It may also help as an extra hydrator and nutrient-delivery product for dryer, sensitive skin while used in addition to a moisturizing crème.
Use: Apply a small amount to face and neck after cleansing. Gently smooth the droplets over areas vulnerable to dehydration and sun-exposure. They will instantly be absorbed into thirsty skin. This versatile preparation may also be applied throughout the day to refresh and nourish the skin.
